about my favorite girl, Holy Spirit.
'cept right now I am not feeling it.
don't have any words for a sermon entitled "unleashed".
is this what that passage means in Romans, "the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray (or preach?) as we ought, but that very Sprit intercedes with sighs too deep for words....
need some interceding...
or some unleashed writing....
HELP.
Amen.

Prayers ascending. I've been there where words fail to formulate. I don't know what to say because these are the toughest times of sermon writing.
I hear you. I love this Romans passage....and I love Pentecost. But I too feel like I have no idea what I want to say about it all. Well, not exactly. I did write a sermon (posted at seekingauthenticvoice)....but after a week of thinking about it I wasn't sure I'd come up with anything. So. Prayers that the Holy Spirit breathes deep fire into you and inspires you!
The Spirit is such a big thing, such a defying words thing, not even a thing but a being - how can we even talk about her? That's kind of what I said in my sermon, and then tried to give examples of when, in the congregation and in my life, I have felt the Spirit move. I pray that the Spirit comes to you NOW - when you need her!
Sophia will be with you tomorrow and give you an amazing sermon to share, that's what tomorrow is all about!
i'm not exactly sure where i'm going either but i know she'll be with me and it will be good.
peace and blessings to you!
I trust she showed up with the iris!!
