While I was gone, I got a letter from the local library that said...pay your overdue fines or risk legal action.
I knew the library police would catch up with me!
So, $23 dollars later, and my record is clear. whew!
Thing is, what I ended paying for is long overdue book on my shelf. Literally, I live six blocks from the library. I don't want the book. I didn't even get beyond the first chapter.
Sometimes, I just confuse myself.

maybe you need the book. or should have the book. maybe you're not ready for it yet, but the universe won't let you give it up because you'll be ready for it later.
or maybe you're just disorganized. lol
sounds exactly like the sort of thing I would do....something very Jungian about this....shadowy denial of the presence of a book...LOL
I own a dvd that I had to rent for a class, of course, it's owned because I didn't return it on time. Then, I couldn't find it to return it within X days before the owning was permanent.
Yesterday P. got a huge traffic fine in the mail ($227) travelling on a 100 k limit highway after a baptism to go to a baptism party dinner at the grandparent's home. Not that he was driving any faster than the cars in front and behind. That was an expensive party. Three demerit points too! I was with him and I swear we were going under 114!
