really heavy heart.....

my heart is so heavy the last two days...
at first, I just thought it was the wind that got knocked out of me yesterday morning when I very clumsily tripped and fell, skinning knees and hands and bruising legs while walking the dogs...
but I think it is more.

I am feel restless. so, so, restless and disconnected.

and then there are the dearest ones of congregation...
five week old baby girl facing heart surgery,
saint of the church facing third brain surgery in two months...
and of course
dear mother one, facing amputation of leg but still not clear if cancer is other places....

my heart, my energy, my God-spirit-love is with them....

so maybe that is my heavy heart. along with a couple of other things, unbloggable.

Maybe these are boundary issues, but I do love my peeps so much. I don't really care if it is "professional" or not to carry them with me in my heart and thoughts wherever I go...

I still live life. We are hanging pictures and planting and walking dogs and all else...

but my heart is heavy.
as it should be, or even shouldn't be, but the reality is, is that it just is heavy...
and prayers ascending, as some revgals say,
prayers ascending....
amen.

OH....I think it is so important that we carry them in our hearts and in our love. NOt that we can be everything for them nor solve their problems...but we can love them and pray for them.

And, yes, that does make for a heavy heart.

I hope your day is one that surrounds in the fortifying restorative love that you need, fills your well, so you can go on loving.

It's a few days later. I hope you've found someone or something like a little heart wagon to help you carry your heart around until it's a little lighter. The idea is it will get lighter, but it doesn't have to get that way today or tomorrow. Hugs and prayers.

You can't help but carry it with you sometimes. My heart is heavy for a client tonight. I pray that you have had some good rest this week and that your heart's burden is lighter.

It is a heart such as yours that helps the world heal...bit by bit...heart by heart.

Those days when something triggers the feeling of 'what's the use', when you meet with a friend who is having a really rough time and you ask 'why do good people suffer so much' and you rail at the injustice of it. Some of our elderly church folk are seriously ill and some alone as well. Cold foggy weather doesn't help either, but there's always grace that comes with the sun.... eventually. And some of these men and women have such courage and faith in God.
